Cumberland-Shenandoah Fruit Workers Conference will be held on Wednesday, December 2 through Friday, December 5, 2020.
Due to the COVID pandemic, we have had to make changes to accommodate the health concerns for everyone involved. The meeting will be run through the Virginia Tech Zoom site and facilitated by Andy Guyer, who is the district area information technologist at the Alson Smith AREC in Winchester.
We will start the meeting on the morning of December 2 with the normal Call-of-the-States, Call-of-the-Industry, a Joint Session with one speaker, and the business meeting. Individual research/extension presentations will start that afternoon. There will be individual Entomology, Plant Pathology, and Horticulture sessions that run sequentially but not concurrently through Friday afternoon. We will likely record the meeting for those members who cannot attend the entire conference.
There will be a $40 registration fee, which is the membership portion of our normal meeting cost. Because we have to work through some of the logistics, there will be a slightly accelerated deadline schedule.
Dates to remember see below:
October 30: First registration deadline
November 13: Final registration (and payment) deadline
Deadline for presentation request and titles: October 30
Deadline for payment: November 13
