The 100th Annual Cumberland-Shenandoah Fruit Workers Conference will be held Thursday and Friday, December 5 & 6th, 2024 at the Hilton Garden Inn, 65 Priority Dr. Martinsburg, WV. Note the new location!
The agenda will feature the Call of the States, Call of the Industry, and a Plenary Session with the keynote presentations highlighting how the apple industry has changed over the years. Following the Plenary Session, we will have our second-annual student competition presentations (all consecutively so that everyone may attend). Thereafter, we will have a mixer and awards for the winning presentations. As we did last year, we will select the best student presentation under each category (i.e., horticulture, plant pathology, and entomology). We will provide a $300 award to each of the three student winners. Please encourage your students to submit meeting abstracts 3 weeks prior to the conference date (by November 14 at the latest), to be eligible for the competition.
On Day 2, we will have three concurrent presentation sessions on horticulture, entomology, and plant pathology as well as our business meeting. Presentation topics shall reflect our research and/or extension efforts concerning fruit crops. The presentation format will be 10 to 12 minutes for content, and 3 to 5 minutes for questions, for a total of 15 minutes. A/V equipment for PowerPoint presentations will be available.
The early-bird registration fee will be $100 per attendee if you register by Wednesday, November 6th. Online registration after November 6th will increase to $150. The online registration will close November 13th. Then, the registration fee will be $200 at the door.

November 13 is the deadline for online registrations. For logistic reasons, no online registration will be allowed after this date.
November 8 is the deadline for submission of presentation request.

Reservations may be made for arrivals as early as Wednesday, December 4 and departures as late as Saturday, December 7, 2024. The Room Block will remain open until it is sold out or until it closes on November 14, 2024, whichever occurs first.
