Meeting information
The 99th Annual Cumberland-Shenandoah Fruit Workers Conference will be held Thursday and Friday, November 30th & December 1st, 2023 at the Holiday Inn Winchester SE-Historic Gateway (333 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, Virginia 22602). For distant travelers, consider arriving on November 29.
As usual, the agenda will feature a Plenary Session with two keynote presentations this year, alongside our traditional call of the states. Following the Plenary Session, we will have three concurrent presentation sessions on horticulture, entomology, and plant pathology. Presentation topics shall reflect our research and/or extension efforts concerning fruit crops. The presentation format will be 10 to 12 minutes for content, and 3 to 5 minutes for questions, for a total of 15 minutes. A/V equipment for PowerPoint presentations will be available.
New this year, we will select the best student presentation under each category (i.e., horticulture, plant pathology, and entomology). We will provide a $300 award to each of the three student winners. Please encourage your students to submit meeting abstracts at least 3 weeks prior to the conference date (by November 9), to be considered for this first-ever student presentation competition.
The early-bird registration fee will be $100 per attendee if you register by Wednesday, November 1st. Online registration after November 1st will increase to $150. The online registration will close November 15th. Then, the registration fee will be $200 at the door.

November 1 is the deadline for discounted registration ($100 per person). After that, the online registration fee will increase to $150.
November 15 is the deadline for online registrations. For logistic reasons, no online registration will be allowed after this date.
November 10 is the deadline for submission of presentation request.
